About the host

Hello! I'm Bill.
Let's step into a world where every stride is an opportunity to connect, inspire, and embrace the beauty of the outdoors. I will be your seasoned guide and lead the way with my knowledge, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. I'm very enthusiastic and hold a genuine passion for walking; I will immerse you in an atmosphere of camaraderie, making you feel instantly welcome and excited to embark on this adventure.

Places we'll visit

We will firstly meet at Odins cave the oldest documented mine in Derbyshire and is thought to be the oldest lead mine in England. This is a great starting point for our circular walk which will take us along the A625 road that was abandoned in the 70’s due to mining and the land slide.

This walk is one of the most popular routes in the peak district National Park where we will overlook the stunning Hope Valley on one side and the whole of Edale, Kinder Scout to the Derwent moors on the other.

Throughout our hike and upon reaching the summit there will be opportunities for videos, photographs and rest stops. We then continue along the great ridge through the area known as Hollins cross. These paths are located at the junction from Mam Tor crossing from Edale to Castleton. At this point we will continue along to Back Tor finally descending into the beautiful village of Castleton.
