About the experience

Experience Duration : 2 hrs 30 mins
Experience Summary:

Follow the footsteps of music royalty and global culture icons The BEATLES. This walking tour takes place in the heart of Liverpool: the home city of the Fab Four. You’ll be hosted by a local born and highly experienced guide, visiting venues the band played in their early careers, street locations filled with Beatles trivia and stories + monuments that celebrate the band and their ties to this beautiful city.

Detailed description:

While there are many places made famous by the Beatles, this itinerary is built to offer a diverse mix of must see locations. A world of musical history awaits you!

1. Jacaranda bar. ‘The Jac’ founded in ’57 by the band’s first manager Allan Williams.

2. The Cavern Club (arguably the most famous of locations, where Brian Epstein visited on his lunch break in November 1961 and decided to manage the band).

3. Monuments: John Lennon statue + the ‘Four lads who shook the world’ sculpture on Mathew Street.  Eleanor Rigby statue on Stanley Street, the band statue at Pier Head. And the John Lennon Peace monument at Kings Dock.

4. To finish: a pint (or two!) at the legendary The Grapes Pub - where the band would  chill out between gigs. It has a huge variety of memorabilia, taking you through the band’s incredible journey …in a space that was a key part of it.

About the host

Hey there, I’m Harry and I am your host. If there’s one thing you need to know about me it is that I am a walking, talking, Beatles encyclopaedia!

My dad and I would listen to all of the Beatles records growing up and so I feel like I’ve known the band my entire life. They became a way I could express myself through music - especially as a shy child! Being a Scouser (Liverpudlian), I’ve always felt an extra special connection with the boys - and the music!

Liverpool has been home for my entire life and so Im incredibly proud that one of the big reasons my ‘hometown’ is known around the globe is because of a band that touched the hearts of so many!

I started hosting my Hits of History tour whilst at university (then as a way to earn some extra cash for gig and concert tickets) but its Ince turns into a fun time career. I look forward to sharing my passion and knowledge with you …I promise not to sing - unless you ask me to! ;)
