About the experience

Experience Duration : 1 hrs 30 mins
Experience Summary:

Do you want to learn the basics of good acting? Are you interested in what makes the best actors so great? Look no further. Come and join my acting basics class. You, too, can be on your way to winning an Oscar.

We will engage in scene studies and monologues, so come and join this intensive class where technique and skill are at the forefront. Lots of actors are talented, but the smart ones hone their skills. I'll pair you off into scene groupings so you'll get the chance to perform, receive personalized feedback, and get material catered to your individual acting type.

Detailed description:

We are going to start from the beginning: what is acting? How do you do it? I will teach you how to find an objective/motivation, how to raise the stakes and basic scene breakdowns. Anyone can be an actor! I'll give you personalized tips that will set you apart from the rest. Being an actor is about being a human, and each human is unique. Let's find what makes you special and find your own truth.

About the host

I have been an actor for the past 10+ years of my life, performing in various musicals, plays, films and television series. I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in theatre performance/acting and speech. I've performed in various countries and cities, including New York City and London, playing various types of roles: big and small. I'm also a playwright, with two plays that premiered in London this past year. Awards include NYSSMA All-State Choir: Top singers across New York state.

Places we'll visit

The class will be taught mostly online- depending on how it goes, perhaps we will meet in-person, in a public park to do some scene work (probably Shakespeare- this work THRIVES in an outdoor setting!). We can also meet as a group to see some shows in central London.
