Detailed description:

Are you a complete beginner looking to give macramé a go or perhaps an improver who wants guidance over bigger, more complex pieces? This macramé class will take your knotting skills to the next level and unleash your creativity to create something truly amazing.

In November and December we will be focusing on seasonal decorations but you have the freedom to create whatever you want in this class - a plant hanger, waist belt, bottle holder, pillow case, wall hanging, candle holder or a backpack. Let your creativity run free! For the bigger pieces you may have to attend several classes.

Macramé is a creative and relaxing craft, which is also a great way of relieving stress. This weekly, small group class runs bi-weekly on Tuesday evenings for 2-hours in the L'Étoile studio in the Old Market.

Your host, Aggy from Knots and Stalks, will teach you how to knot various macramé pieces from seasonal decorations to larger pieces.

This is a space for you to learn new knots and carve out time for your creative projects on a regular basis in a fun atmosphere with a glass of bubbles and social chats.

Creative projects can often be quite isolating when working on them alone at home, so it's great to meet up in a craft group to add a social element to it. Plus having a helping hand in untangling and understanding your mistakes can lift a lot of frustration off!

About the host

Hi! I'm Aggy Rucin. I'm a macramé tutor and a sound therapist who uses both techniques to help my clients learn new skills, develop introspection and self-esteem, and enter therapeutic brain waves and meditative states. From stimulating macramé workshops to relaxing sound baths, I cover a spectrum of activities incorporating creative crafts, tarot cards and practices such as sharing circle. My background is in ecology and nature conservation, so I facilitate nature connection experiences.
