Join me in this creative hand embroidery workshop and learn beautiful stitches and techniques. This workshop is aimed at beginners - perfect for those looking to pick up a new hobby. The welcome pack will kick you off with all you need to start out in the creative world of embroidery. So get your kit, grab a cup of tea, get comfortable and enjoy this experience!
Detailed description:As an online event, I will guide you through 9 different stitches in the beginner workshop.
Please book atleast 3-4 days in advance so I can send out materials.
There will also be an opportunity for your to show your artistic flair and new embroidery skills with a motif to decorate in your newly learnt stitches. This class will be 1.5 hours long. In the week before the event I will send out your welcome pack. This will include a 6 inch wooden embroidery hoop, a fabric worksheet, a needle, a selection of threads, a needle and thread holder, and a thank you card with my Instagram handle.
Hi! My name is Lizzie and I am a secondary art and design teacher. I studied Surface Pattern for Fashion at university and from that had lots of experience working in print studios for the fashion industry, including the womenswear department at Marks and Spencers.
I have been doing hand embroidery for 5 years. I find that it is very mindful and I get great pleasure from watching my designs grow. I get asked to do a variety of commissions, which I love, as I get to do things that I wouldn't normally do. Recently, I have been embroidering dogs & wedding bow ties.
Last year, I created a stitch swap. I reached out to people on Instagram to take part in this with me. This was great fun and super inspiring to work with other embroidery creatives.
I have such a big passion for being creative and I can’t wait to teach you a new skill!

Prior to the experience, I will send out a kit that includes the basics of what you will need to create your hand embroidery stitch sampler. Not included in the kit are scissors - so please have a pair to hand.
I will also require your address for me to send you the kit. You can email me this, once your booking and payment has gone through.
Please note - this kit will be sent 5-6 days prior to the event - all bookings, payments & kits will be non refundable at this point.
