Detailed description:This an exclusive live experience where you can visit my studio and get to learn about my past and current projects. You will get to know my tools and materials and all that secretly happens behind the scenes :) I will share with you some early sketches and pieces that I have never published, preparation studies for my sculptures and some of the art books that inspire me. You will get to see some of my sculptures in detail and we will have an open A & Q discussion at the end of the tour where you can ask any questions related to my work. I will do a demonstration and you will also get the chance to try a small needle felting project for you to take home!
My name is Marta, also known as Mei Mei. I'm an experienced sculptor artist and I create wool sculptures using a needle felting technique. Textile and fibre arts are becoming popular, I started sharing-teaching my skills in my London studio back in 2018 and I loved the experience. I also offer online courses for people based in other countries and I provide and ship the materials so you can fully focus on the learning experience! I like a good chat and I'm happy to resolve any questions and share ideas in my workshops. I love making art and my second best skill is teaching, whether you are a beginner or an experienced artists, you are all welcome to my workshop
The experience will take place at my studio in Forest Hill, South London.

This is a 1.5-2 hours experience for Adults only and Adults with Children. It's a perfect experience to enjoy with a group of adults interested in art and it's ideal also for families, since this is can be an educational experience for them. It's a safe environment and there's access to a toilet and a kitchen. We are 5 m walk from the train station and there's plenty of cafes, pubs and shops in the area. The nearest Museum is Horniman Museum and Gardens, they have an animal walk and a Nature Trail, It's a good landmark to enjoy also with kids!
