Detailed description:This an immersive-creative live experience for kids. An art studio visit prepared for them. The group will have the chance to explore my studio, see the art making process from the early sketches to the final piece. They will be able to see the finished pieces and there will be a Q&A time where they can express their thoughts. We will finalised the experience with an art workshop where they will explore the materials and create a small felting project for them to take home. Working with wool is a wonderful feeling, it is a very tactile and soft material and it helps with focus and concentration, the host always promotes nature and fantasy themes in her workshops.
My name is Marta, also known as Mei Mei. I'm an experienced sculptor and drawing artist and I create wool sculptures using a needle felting technique. Textile and fibre arts are becoming popular, I started sharing-teaching my skills in my London studio back in 2018 and I loved the experience. I also offer online courses for people based in other countries and I get involved a lot with community work with art in it's core. I have worked with groups of all ages including groups of young kids and people over 65 I like a good chat and I'm happy to resolve any questions and share ideas in my workshops. I love making art and my second best skill is teaching, whether you are a beginner or an experienced artists, a kid or an adult, you are all welcome to my Experience!
The experience will take place at my studio in Forest Hill, South London. It's a safe environment and there's access to a toilet and a kitchen. We are 5 m walk from the train station and there's plenty of cafes, pubs and shops in the area. The nearest Museum is Horniman Museum and Gardens, they have an animal walk and a Nature Trail, It's a good landmark to enjoy also with kids!

I will brief the group leader with the workshop plan before arrival.
