Monotype is a very simple yet versatile printmaking technique. On this short workshop we will focus on using stencils and found objects to build our image. This image is then printed onto paper, revealing a completely one-of-a-kind print.
It is a fantastic technique as an introduction to printmaking and for creating bold and interesting images.

Hi! I'm Rach, an artist printmaker and workshop facilitator with a decade of experience. I love sharing my passion for printmaking through intimate, relaxing and playful workshops where I can encourage and guide you through each process. Watching people gain confidence, embrace their creativity and be so proud of what they have achieved at the end of each workshop is what it's all about.
The Village Hall on Deansgate Mews is a perfect setting for a workshop. This community space is bright, airy and spacious, with kitchen and toilet facilities on the same floor and is also accessible by lift. Located along the side of the beautiful Great Northern Warehouse, this city centre venue is very well linked to local transport, and is perfectly placed for exploring the city before or after the workshop has finished.
