The class runs every Friday at 08.30am. This is a 45-minute yoga class which wakes you up and gets you ready for the day ahead. It is a mixed abilities level class, therefore suitable regardless of your previous yoga experience or lack of it. The class also comes with a 7-day replay, encouraging you to practise again at convenient times and multiple times.
My name is Mara. My passion for yoga started in my late teens while living in Italy. Once I moved to the UK my passion grew and grew and I decided to train as a yoga teacher with the BWY (British Wheel of Yoga).
I have taught yoga extensively for 25+ years all over central and North London, including running Foundation Courses, one Teacher's Diploma course and several yoga retreats.
In 2011 I converted my loft into a small home yoga studio and for the last 10 years I have been teaching exclusively from my home studio. Before the pandemic I used to teach 11-12 weekly yoga classes. My yoga studio had to shut down during the pandemic and the various lockdowns but it is now thriving again with 9 weekly yoga classes.
I absolutely love what I do as I find it very rewarding. I am passionate about yoga as I have witnessed the deeply transformative effects that a regular yoga practice can bring to everyone.
During the pandemic I started teaching classes online to my students. I now teach two weekly online yoga classes. I have students attending from as far as Italy, Germany and Scotland.

Please wear loose, comfortable clothes. Practise with an empty stomach - allow 4 hours after a main meal and 2 hours after a snack. A health questionnaire will need to be filled out in advance of the class.
You'll need a non-slip yoga mat, optional: a blanket, yoga block and a strap. You'll need to have your camera switched on and pointing towards you so that I can monitor your practice and provide you with individual verbal feedback.
Pregnant ladies are welcome to attend in their 2nd & 3rd trimester. In case of a previous miscarriage, medical advice is required prior to joining the class. In case of any serious medical condition or injury, medical advice is required prior to joining. Alternatives and modifications are offered to suit different levels of experience and to cater for various ailments. Practise within your comfortable limits, never hurry or strain. Practise in bare feet when instructed by the teacher.
