You have the amazing opportunity to discover the Portuguese coast from a different perspective.
Prof. Luiz Saldanha Marine Park is the perfect spot for your first Scuba Diving experience. In a reef and coral gardens environment, you will be able to watch close the 1000+ different marine species, like anemones, gorgonians, lobsters, octopuses, stingrays, sea horses, sea stars, and sea urchins. Some of these are unique to this zoologic reserve and biodiversity conservation zone, and others rare, from other geographic areas, making it one of the most diverse seabeds in Europe, throughout all the Setúbal coast, between Serra da Arrábida and Cabo Espichel, less than an hour by car from Lisbon.
In this experience, you will begin with a safety briefing and an introduction to your Instructor and Scuba Diving gear. Then you will start an adaptation session, during which you will learn to breathe underwater, applying recreational scuba diving techniques and gear, followed by a guided dive, where you will increase your knowledge about the endemic fauna of this marine life sanctuary, feeling completely in harmony with nature. At the end of this experience, you will return to the starting point on our speedboat.
Whether you are a beginner or experienced, it is ideal for enjoying by yourself or in a group, with your friends, family and/or partner, celebrating birthdays, bachelor, school or corporate events, accessible to everyone.
Don’t question yourself any longer and accept this challenge with me
Hi, my name is Samuel Lopes - explorer since a young age - passionate about nature and adventure sports.
Lover of the big spaces, I go through our planet's water, land and air, searching for the wonders it has to offer. I go diving in the Coral Triangle of the Indo-Pacific, climbing down to the world's biggest cave, "Son Doong" in Vietnam, or make the traverse of the Himalayas in para-alpinism.
Above all, I love to share this passion with all those who love nature and sports as I do. As an instructor of alpinism, paragliding, scuba diving, and caving and rafting team leader, I want to share this vast knowledge and offer unique experiences, increasing the well-being and self-esteem of those who have the same desire to do these sports. Refrain from holding your curiosity and exploring the different ways of enjoying the best nature has to give you!
Located about 50 km south from the Portuguese capital, the Marine Park is the home to a big amount of different species. In fact, you will have the opportunity to dive with more than 1000 species, some of which you can hardly find anywhere else!
Meeting Point: Creiro beach, next to the restaurant “Anicha-Bar”.
